"The 'clear and obvious ' thing is obviously bollocks. Otherwise they wouldn't be giving people offside by 0.001mm"
Factual decisions are always going to be clear and obvious mistakes , the referee saw one thing he was wrong.
They just need to sort out a standard set of operating rules, seems to me it really depends on the Ref on the pitch and in the bunker to whats interpreted or even looked at in any given match, had it been another set of officials, we may well of had a penalty today.

The 'clear and obvious ' thing is obviously bollocks. Otherwise they wouldn't be giving people offside by 0.001mm.
It's both a cop-out and an excuse to continue favouring the big teams.
Incidentally, they could easily solve the offside issue by having a 'referee's call' zone like they do with DRS LBWs in cricket. But that wouldn't allow them to cheat

Those saying VAR should have give the pen - VAR did not have the power to give the pen as it was not a clear and obvious error by the ref, or so Dermot Gallagher was saying. As I said last week, nobody really has a clue how VAR works, that's across the board (the co-commentators and pundits are the worse) don't have a scooby.

I’m not offended just bored of seeing it before every game.
MOTD is on for an hour but they insist on showing every team taking the knee, why can’t we just take it for read that they’ve done it? Why waste valuable football time?
They don’t show the referee tossing the coin and the captains deciding which end they want so why show the pointless knee?

If we get a bit of luck, a few refereeing decisions, a few VAR decisions, no injuries.. I can see us doing a Leicester this year 🤣🤣

As far as I can make out, he's not the slightest bit offended. He just think's a pile of cunt. Incidentally, if he thinks it's a pile of cunt he has the right to express that opinion.
Nice try with the 'reverse snowflake' though, you prissy wanker.

That’s right Alfs clear as day takes Antonio down MC players forward momentum scrapes the ball and the goalkeeper slides in!
Anywhere else on the pitch that tackle gets a free kick, absolute shit VAR is and the tossers using it

Who fucking cares players taking the knee,it wouldn't be wise for a prem team to give it bollocks. As long as we keep playing as we have been who gives a toss? Now having the belief that we won't take a ponding against Liverpool, possibly even nicking a point ....... Fills me with joy.Early days I know but keep the faith we probably won't end up in a relegation battle.
Which would be nice.

I've watched the Antonio pen claim several times. The MC player takes his legs and then touches the ball. How VAR can't see that stuns me.
It's ridiculous that the VAR refs are never made to do a press conference and explain/justify their decisions.

I think those matches, against bus parkers, will be the matches where Benrhama and Haller will be better suited.

I've got a feeling we may get something against Liverpool. Possibly even three points if Antono is fit.
Just hope we don't relax too much in the following games, and throw away what has been a bloody good start considering who we've been up against.

That’s going to be the telling thing when we play some of the teams that sit back against us. We’ve struggled for years to break that type of team down. It will be interesting to see if we now do it or are still going to struggle.
